The Guides | Edward Madigan

Edward is a graduate of University College Dublin and Trinity College, Dublin where he was awarded a Ph.D. in modern European history in 2007. He specialises in the social and cultural history of early twentieth century Europe and has a particular interest in the British and Irish experience of the Great War. Born and raised in Dublin Edward has had a lifelong fascination with the city where he has worked as a barman, radio broadcaster and DJ. He has published several articles relating to the history of the Great War and in 2007 he acted as historical advisor for, and appeared in, the critically acclaimed Irish-language documentary Troid Fuillteach (Bloody Canvas).
